Recap: Freire Charter Dragon vs. Liguori Academy Falcons
The Freire Charter Dragon scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past Liguori Academy 73-43 on the road. With Freire Charter ahead 50-16 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Freire Charter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ibrahim Mahmoud, who scored 16 points along with three steals. Esa Moore was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Despite the loss, Liguori Academy saw an underclassman step up: Rydee Miller scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miller has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Naiem Scott-Allen, who scored 11 points.
Freire Charter is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Liguori Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
