Baseball Game Preview: Shelton Highclimbers vs. Black Hills Wolves

For the second straight game, Shelton will face off against Black Hills. The Highclimbers are taking a road trip to challenge the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Shelton barely beat Black Hills the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Highclimbers never let the Wolves get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Monday. The Highclimbers haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Boston Madison made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Madison was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Jax Ward was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Cam Winans also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Shelton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Black Hills dropped their record down to 2-13 with the defeat, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Shelton, their record now sits at 8-10.
