Volleyball Recap: Silverado Finds Playoff Glory Versus Somerset Sky Pointe

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Silverado walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Somerset Sky Pointe Eagles on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Skyhawks, who have now won three contests in a row.

While Silverado might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Somerset Sky Pointe scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 25-18.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Silverado to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marlee Fakatoumafi, who had five aces and four digs. That's the most aces Fakatoumafi has posted since back in September.

Fakatoumafi wasn't the only good servers: Silverado was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in seven consecutive matches.

Silverado's win bumped their record up to 16-13. As for Somerset Sky Pointe, their defeat ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-9.

Silverado didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas on the 6th. Somerset Sky Pointe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
