Sierra hasn't had much luck against Caruthers recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Sierra will challenge Caruthers at 4:00 p.m. Sierra is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Things were looking good for Sierra after they put the first points on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Avenal, falling 13-3.

Naliyah Gibson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Even though they lost, Sierra hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. This was only their first loss (out of three games) when they post two or more strikeouts.

Meanwhile, Caruthers lost 16-2 to Hanford West on Thursday.

Sierra's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Caruthers, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Sierra couldn't quite finish off Caruthers in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 8-6. Can Sierra avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
