Basketball Recap: Shasta Wins Going Away Against West Valley

Shasta won the last time they faced West Valley and things went their way on Friday too. The Shasta Wolves were the clear victor by a 62-40 margin over the West Valley Eagles. The Wolves pushed the score to 52-29 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

When it comes to explaining why West Valley lost, don't look at Zack Boemeke. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Boemeke a new career-high in points.

Shasta now has a winning record of 9-8. As for West Valley, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-8.

Shasta wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 75-72 loss against Foothill on the 14th. As for West Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-32 victory against Central Valley on the 14th.
