Softball Game Preview: Gresham Gophers vs. Barlow Bruins

The Gresham Gophers will face off against the Barlow Bruins at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Gresham proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by ten) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Sandy 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Gophers have posted since April 27th.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Barlow, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over Nelson on Friday. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.

Gresham has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-14 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Barlow, their victory bumped their record up to 16-11.
