Volleyball Recap: Sherman Extends Winning Streak to Four

Sherman waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Montcalm Generals with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tide also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2015.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Sherman took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-11, 25-8.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sherman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emma Russell, who had three digs and three aces. Russell is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last 13 games she's played. Peyton Foster was another key player, getting nine digs.

Sherman's victory bumped their record up to 24-8-1. As for Montcalm, they dropped their record down to 4-12 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Sherman nor the Generals have any future games scheduled.
