Laney won the last time they faced Butler and things went their way on Saturday too. The Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bulldogs 44-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wildcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 418th).

Tiquavious Kemp was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 116 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six carries.

The win made it two in a row for Laney and bumps their season record up to 6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 points in those games. As for Butler, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-6.

Laney and Butler will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Wildcats see the field they'll take on Glenn Hills at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. As for Butler, their break will end when they face Burke County at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th.
