Cross extended their winning streak to seven games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Ryan Mayers. The Stingrays claimed a resounding 63-22 victory over the Calvary Day Cavaliers for which the team can thank Mayers, who shot 64% from the field to rack up 39 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Her big performance that evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points.

Another player making a difference was Sydney Hollings, who posted six points in addition to seven assists and six boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 23 games she's played dating back to last season.

Cross' win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cross is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Charleston Collegiate at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvary Day, they will head out to challenge South Effingham at 6:30 p.m. on the 21st.
