They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the McClain Tigers. The win was nothing new for the Redstreaks as they're now sitting on three straight.
Saydi Childers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aubrey Heath, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Briar Penwell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Piketon's record is now 17-2. As for McClain, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
