Woodland Regional posted their closest win since December 17, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Watertown Warriors, sneaking past 64-61. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won six in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Watertown lost, don't look at Christopher O'Toole. Despite the final result, he went 10-for-21 on his way to 27 points. That was a full 44.3% of Watertown's points, marking the third time in a row O'Toole has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Gambee, who had seven points and seven rebounds.

Woodland Regional pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points over those games. As for Watertown, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.

Coming up, Woodland Regional will host Oxford at 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Oxford has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 200 points over their last three contests. Watertown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
