Western Branch is 10-0 against Hickory since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Western Branch Bruins will head out on the road to face off against the Hickory Hawks at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Western Branch humbled Smithfield with a 61-31 victory. The Bruins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hickory, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 47-35 victory over Oscar Smith on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Hawks as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Hickory's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10. As for Western Branch, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.

Western Branch didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Hickory in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 52-48 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Western Branch since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
