Baseball Recap: Mapleton Takes a Loss

Mapleton lost against Loudonville back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Mapleton fell 8-4 to Loudonville.

Mapleton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Sword, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Another was Tyson Welch, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Mapleton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mapleton will take on Oberlin at 5:00 p.m. on April 3. As for Loudonville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Smithville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
