Moore came tearing into Thursday's matchup with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Union Redhawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-6 two weeks ago.

Moore pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Union, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Looking ahead, Moore will take on Enid at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Union, they are taking a road trip to face off against Yukon at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Millers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Redhawks surely won't give up without a fight.
