Volleyball Game Preview: Camelback Spartans vs. South Mountain Jaguars

The Camelback Spartans will head out to face off against the South Mountain Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Camelback will be strutting in after a win while South Mountain will be coming in after a defeat.

Camelback needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Elisha Barron. The Spartans put the hurt on Tempe with a sharp 3-0 victory on Wednesday for which the team can thank Barron, who had 29 digs and four aces. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 11 or more in each of the last eight games he's played.

Camelback walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-20, 25-19.

Meanwhile, South Mountain came up short against Dysart on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-13. As for South Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
