Arroyo had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They put the hurt on the Marshall Eagles with a sharp 18-2 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 23-2 back in April.

Rebekah Ruiz was excellent, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with one double. What's more, she posted two hits, the most she's had since back in March. Amanda Avila was another key player, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.

Arroyo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .346 or higher in five consecutive matches.

Arroyo pushed their record up to 15-9-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games.
