Clinton County fell victim to Russell County and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Lakers, falling 6-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Clinton County's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-5. As for Russell County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

While Clinton County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
