Volleyball Recap: Lee Academy Comes Up Short

Lee Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Jonesport-Beals Royals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 4th.

Lee Academy took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-9, 25-15.

Lee Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Jonesport-Beals, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lee Academy will take on Bucksport at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jonesport-Beals, they will face off against Sumner at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
