Baseball Game Preview: Aiken Fighting Green Hornets vs. Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles

The Aiken Fighting Green Hornets will challenge the Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Aiken is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Aiken came up short against Gilbert on Monday, falling 12-1.

Aiken saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kullen Haltiwanger, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Gray Collegiate Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They never let North Augusta get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Monday.

Not much got past Riley Huggins, who gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks to keep North Augusta off the board. Those nine strikeouts gave Huggins a new career-high.

Gray Collegiate Academy now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Aiken, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
