Dixie County fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Taylor County on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. The Bears' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Dixie County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Cobb, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Cobb is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Dixie County's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Taylor County, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-6.

Coming up, Dixie County will welcome P.K. Yonge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Taylor County, they will take on Tift County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
