Southeast is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Champion on Thursday. They lost 13-1 to the Golden Flashes. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Pirates have suffered since May 1, 2024.
Morgan Muncy was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. That triple was her first of the season.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Crestview and Liberty have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Rebels walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Leopards. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Leopards recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Chloe Stoops was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rylee Cloutier, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI.
Crestview's victory bumped their record up to 10-2-1. As for Southeast, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Southeast hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .317. However, it's not like Crestview struggles in that department as they've averaged .401. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
