Baseball Recap: Pearl's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Pearl had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Columbia Wildcats on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted since February 18th.

Pearl's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Columbia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season.

Pearl will host Petal at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Columbia, they will venture away from home to face off against East Marion at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
