Softball Recap: Roxana Shells vs. East Alton-Wood River Oilers
Roxana put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. Everything went their way against the East Alton-Wood River Oilers as the Roxana Shells made off with a 14-4 win. The high-scoring effort was just what Roxana needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

On the mound, she struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Stahlhut has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 12 consecutive pitching appearances. Stahlhut was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
In other batting news, Roxana got a massive performance out of Lilli Ray, who scored four runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Macey Craig, who went 2-for-5 with a home run, three RBI, and a stolen base.
