Softball Recap: Alta Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Alta can now relate to. They came up short against the Viewmont Vikings on Saturday, falling 17-2. The Hawks were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the three matchups prior), but the Vikings' pitchers proved too tough.

Alta saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brielle Watson, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Alta moved to 7-15 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Viewmont, they pushed their record up to 11-13 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Alta beat the Vikings by a score of 7-5 on Monday.
