Basketball Recap: Tabiona Tigers vs. Manila Mustangs
In what's become a running theme this season, the Tabiona Tigers gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. Everything went their way against Manila as Tabiona made off with a 51-31 win. The victory was nothing new for Tabiona as they're now sitting on three straight.
It was another big night for Gavin Rhoades, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Chance Lazenby was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Tabiona is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Manila, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7.
Tabiona won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on February 3rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Wendover is ranked 52nd, while the Tigers are ranked 49th). As for Manila, they will head out on the road to face off against the Miners at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
