            Volleyball Recap: Mineral Wells Rams vs. Weatherford Kangaroos        
        
		
        
        
            Mineral Wells was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight  defeat. They fell  3-1 to the Weatherford Kangaroos. While the Rams didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Kangaroos  25-18 in the first  set.
 Mineral Wells started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-12, 25-10,  25-15.
 Averie Watson paced Mineral Wells' offense, picking up 11 kills. Watson got some help from  Carsyn Presley and her 23 assists. Watson and  Presley didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.
Mineral Wells now  has a losing record of 10-11-1. As for Weatherford, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record  this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mineral Wells will venture away from home to  face off against Boyd  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Weatherford, they will head out to  challenge Fossil Ridge  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday.
