Baseball Recap: Harbor Springs Comes Up Short

Pickford hit Harbor Springs with a four-run seventh inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rams fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-4. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caiden Phillips was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, Greyson Rife was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season.

Harbor Springs now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Pickford, the win keeps they at an undefeated 3-0-1.
