On Thursday, Fillmore Central needed a bit of extra time to put away Central City. They walked away with a 68-60 victory over the Bison. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

The match was Stoner's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiffin Theobald, who posted 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, Superior was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Thayer Central, falling 48-23. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Fillmore Central's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. As for Superior, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Everything came up roses for Fillmore Central against Superior in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 64-27 victory. In that match, Fillmore Central amassed a halftime lead of 33-12, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
