Basketball Recap: DME Academy vs. Academy of Central Florida Golden Bulls
DME Academy put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past the Academy of Central Florida Golden Bulls with points to spare, taking the game 67-52.
GiGi Battle was a one-man wrecking crew for DME Academy as she went 14 for 25 en route to 31 points plus seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Leyla Minor, who scored eight points plus two steals.
DME Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DME Academy will face off against Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Academy of Central Florida, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jordan Christian Prep on December 20th.
