Softball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Jefferson's offense. They came up short against the Sickles Gryphons on Tuesday, falling 7-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Dragons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

The loss snapped Jefferson's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3 record. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12.3 runs. As for Sickles, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-8 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson will take on King at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. King has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.11 runs per game on average), something Jefferson will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Sickles, they will face off against Armwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sickles is facing Armwood at the right time seeing as Armwood is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
