Recap: St. Stephen's & St. Agnes Saints vs. Bullis Bulldogs
The St. Stephen's & St. Agnes Saints lost against the Bullis Bulldogs back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. St. Stephen's & St. Agnes ended up on the wrong side of a rough 72-48 walloping at the hands of Bullis. While losing is never fun, St. Stephen's & St. Agnes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 39th in Virginia, while Bullis is ranked fifth in Maryland).
Several Saints players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cody Gordon, who scored 12 points. Riley Jacobs was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
St. Stephen's & St. Agnes' defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Bullis, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-2.
St. Stephen's & St. Agnes will take on Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Episcopal is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Bullis, they will head out on the road to take on Georgetown Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Georgetown Prep is coming into the match hot, having won their last ten games.
