Baseball Recap: Kaufer Seahawks vs. Odem Owls
Kaufer lost to Odem back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Seahawks fell just short of the Owls by a score of 8-7. That's two games in a row now that the Seahawks have lost by just one run.
Liam Hinojosa and Sef Gutierrez did some serious damage despite the final result: Hinojosa got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base, while Gutierrez went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases. Ralph Guevara was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.
This is the second loss in a row for Kaufer and nudges their season record down to 2-4. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Odem, the victory got them back to even at 6-6-1.
