Recap: FAU High Owls vs. Inlet Grove Hurricanes
The FAU High Owls lost against the Inlet Grove Hurricanes back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. FAU High was outmatched by Inlet Grove on the road and fell 77-40. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for FAU High in their matchups with Inlet Grove: they've now lost four in a row.
FAU High's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Samuel Joseph, who scored 12 points. Joseph scored a full 30% of FAU High's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Shepherd Britton, who scored 9 points.
Inlet Grove found their leader in underclassman Robert Brown , who scored 24 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Llyod Rene, who scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
FAU High's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Inlet Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. FAU High will take on Royal Palm Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Royal Palm Beach focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 last Tuesday. As for Inlet Grove, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Vero Beach at 6:30 p.m.
