It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Douglas ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Boaz Pirates 3-2. That's two games straight that Douglas have won by just one goal.

The victory made it two in a row for Douglas and bumps their season record up to 5-9-1. As for Boaz, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, Douglas and Boaz will both be playing Crossville the next time they take the pitch. The Eagles will host the Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Pirates will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
