Softball Recap: Tennyson Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Tennyson's offense. They lost 18-0 to the Mt. Eden Monarchs on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 34 runs in the game before, the Lancers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Tennyson has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Mt. Eden, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tennyson will take on San Lorenzo at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mt. Eden, they will square off against San Leandro at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Monarchs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
