Volleyball Recap: Niles North Starts Season with Loss at Home

Niles North unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 2-0 to the Lane Tech Champions on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

While Niles North ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18.

Lane Tech pushed their record up to 1-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Niles North will take on Jones at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lane Tech, they will challenge York at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
