Basketball Recap: Navarro Comes Up Short

Navarro lost against Greenwood back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers received a blow as they fell 49-33 to the Rangers. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 973rd, while the Rangers are ranked 464th).

When it comes to explaining why Navarro lost, don't look at Camden Shields. Despite the final result, she posted 17 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Navarro and nudges their season record down to 4-9. As for Greenwood, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

Navarro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-29 defeat against Gloria Deo Academy on the 6th. As for Greenwood, they have also already played their next contest, a 51-46 loss against Southside on the 5th.
