Football Recap: Sophia Ventura Leads Plant's Defense on Saturday

Plant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 14-6 to the Bloomingdale Bulls. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Bulls are ranked 25th).

Even if they lost, Plant's defense still kept up the pressure with six sacks. Sophia Ventura was especially locked on to Bloomingdale's QB and sacked her five times.

Bloomingdale got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alexa (Lexi) Serniotti out in front who threw for 111 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 51 yards.

Plant's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Bloomingdale, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Plant didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-7 loss against Newsome on the 5th. As for Bloomingdale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 35-0 victory against Leto on the 4th.
