Basketball Recap: Ezekiel Academy Gets the Win

Ezekiel Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against the Rocket City Falcons by a score of 66-54. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Kelson Free went supernova, going 7-for-14 en route to 23 points along with seven assists and seven steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Elijah Taylor, who scored 14 points and four steals.

Ezekiel Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Ezekiel Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Rocket City, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Ezekiel Academy will venture away from home to face off against Oaks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rocket City, they will head out to take on Master's Hand Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
