Southeast entered their tilt with Liberty on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Leopards 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won seven matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Lilly Hayes made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Morgan Muncy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Ava Stephens was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Southeast's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Liberty, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Southeast beat Liberty by a score of 2-0 later that day.
