Loudoun County was forced to take a big loss against they on Tuesday, they got the better of them on Friday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Woodgrove Wolverines. This was a revenge game for the Captains: when they faced off against the Wolverines on Tuesday, they had to take a 10-0 defeat.

Keira Bertoglio spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Abby Williams, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Carissa Keefer was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Loudoun County is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
