Lincoln Charter waltzed into their match on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They came out on top against the Pine Lake Prep Pride by a score of 49-38. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Pride are ranked 511th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lincoln Charter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Symphani Stevens, who posted 26 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. Stevens has become a key player for Lincoln Charter: the team is undefeated when she posts at least five steals, but 5-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Martha Guinle, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and six steals.

Lincoln Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Pine Lake Prep lost, don't look at Avery Garrett. Despite the final result, she put up 13 points. That's the most points Garrett has posted since back in November of 2024. Lea Schwaba was another key player, putting up seven points.

Lincoln Charter pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.2 points over those games. As for Pine Lake Prep, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.

Lincoln Charter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-47 win against Forest Hills on the 5th. As for Pine Lake Prep, they will square off against Langtree Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pine Lake Prep is facing Langtree Charter Academy at the right time seeing as Langtree Charter Academy is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
