York and Freeport are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Wildcats will host the Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when York and Cape Elizabeth meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Wildcats fell 5-2 to the Capers. The Wildcats have struggled against the Capers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Freeport suffered their biggest defeat since May 28, 2025 on Friday. They came up short against Fryeburg, falling 12-5.

Freeport's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for York, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Everything went York's way against Freeport when the teams last played back in May of 2025, as York made off with a 20-10 victory. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
