Baseball Recap: Yates Center Drops Highest Score of Season Against Oswego

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Yates Center). They were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Oswego Indians on Monday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Evan McVey was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Kage Beck, who scored four runs while going 3-for-4.

Yates Center's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Oswego, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Yates Center will head out to challenge Crest at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Lancers have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Oswego, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against St. Paul at 4:30 p.m. St. Paul has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18 runs per game on average), something Oswego will no doubt try to take advantage of.
