Softball Recap: Williams Valley Starts off Right with Win over Line Mountain

Williams Valley took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Saturday. They never let the Line Mountain Eagles get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Williams Valley let Ally Underkoffler and Audrina Fry run wild. Underkoffler scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Fry scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most hits Underkoffler has posted since back in April of 2024. Ella Kobularik was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Line Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Williams Valley will face off against Halifax at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Line Mountain, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shikellamy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
