Poland Seminary had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Columbiana on Thursday. The Bulldogs never let the Clippers get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Jacob Hayes made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
