After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cocke County, Grainger was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Cherokee Chiefs with a sharp 4-1 win. The high-scoring effort was just what Grainger needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

They hit Cherokee with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Meg Tanner, Amanda Kledzik, Latisha McCann, and Kit Wankel.

The victory got Grainger back to even at 1-1. As for Cherokee, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grainger will venture away from home to take on Gatlinburg-Pittman at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cherokee, they will head out to square off against Chuckey-Doak at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
