Basketball Game Preview: Independent Panthers vs. Independence Bulldogs

The Independent Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Independence Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Independent hasn't scored more than 22 points for six games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Last Friday, Independent took a blow against Emporia, falling 79-15. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Spartans are ranked 78th).

Meanwhile, Independence waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They beat the Tigers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 68-42.

Independence's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Independent, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8-1.
