Volleyball Recap: Richlands Falls to East Duplin in First Game of Season

Richlands had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the East Duplin Panthers, falling 3-0. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17, 25-12.

East Duplin was led to victory by Kinsey Cave and Karsyn Parker. Cave had nine assists and eight kills, while Parker had six digs and three aces. Cave has been hot recently, having posted eight or more kills the last four times she's played.

Richlands didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against South Lenoir on the 13th. As for East Duplin, they will head out to challenge Wallace-Rose Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
