Baseball Recap: JW North Comes Up Short

JW North scored first but ultimately less than Orange Vista in their game on Saturday. They fell 7-3 to the Orange Vista Coyotes. The Huskies just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

JW North saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carlos Pena, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases. Nicolas Zepeda also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

JW North's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Orange Vista, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Coming up, JW North and Hemet will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orange Vista, they will venture away from home to square off against Heritage at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Orange Vista's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Heritage's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
